GX-02 · Task register

Granular enough to trust

A spreadsheet-style register and a kanban board over the same data, built for jobs where the task count runs into thousands rather than dozens.

Task register at volume, filtered by trade and floor

2400 × 1350

Why a register, not a to-do list

Because you are managing devices, not chores

Most project tools assume a few dozen tasks with names like "finish the kitchen". A fire, security or data job has four thousand items, each of which is a physical device with an address, a location and a test result. That needs a register you can sort and filter like a spreadsheet, because that is what people were already using.

  • Spreadsheet-style view designed for volume, not a card wall
  • Kanban board over the same data when a board reads better
  • Filter by trade, floor, phase, status, assignee or custom field
  • Bulk clone repeated work across floors and buildings

On every task

Your data, in your words

Custom fields carry whatever your trade needs — loop and address, circuit reference, outlet number, room configuration. Statuses and task types can be renamed to the language your business already uses on site.

  • Custom fields, searchable and filterable across the whole project
  • Renameable statuses and task types at organisation level
  • Photos, file attachments and comment threads on every task
  • Full audit history of who changed what and when

When work stops

Blockers with an owner and a clock

Work gets held up constantly. What causes arguments later is that nobody recorded why, for how long, or who was waiting on whom. A blocker is raised against the task, owned by someone, and stamped when it is released.

  • Blockers logged against the task with a reason and an owner
  • Release stamped, giving a real record of every delay
  • Dependencies linking work that cannot start until something else finishes
  • Progress by trade, floor and phase calculated from the tasks themselves
