GX-04 · Plan viewer and annotations

The drawing is the interface

Every other feature in Graftix hangs off a pin on a drawing. Upload the set, put the work where it physically is, and stop describing locations in words.

Uploading and navigating

A0 sheets that open on a phone

Drop in a PDF drawing set and it gets tiled server-side, the same way a mapping application handles satellite imagery. A full-size architectural sheet opens instantly and zooms smoothly on a phone in a riser, not just on a workstation.

  • Upload a complete PDF drawing set, sheet by sheet
  • Deep zoom, pan and layer control built for real drawings
  • Works without signal in Graftix Go: download the project, or save a single sheet
  • Revisions held against the project so superseded sheets stay traceable
The same A1 fire alarm sheet on a laptop and on a phone: the full Kestrel House first-floor drawing with its task list, and the phone deep-zoomed into the stair core with pins still sharp
Graftix task detail open over the plan: manual call point MCP-005 with its status, history and site photos beside the pin, its relocation cloud and RFI-004 marker on the drawing

Pins

Four kinds of pin, one sheet

A pin is not just a marker. It is the anchor everything else attaches to: the task, the photos, the materials claimed against it, the certificate that proves it works.

  • Task pins — the work itself, with status, trade, assignee and custom fields
  • RFI pins — a question raised against the exact location it concerns
  • Site instruction pins — an instruction evidenced where it applies
  • Area portal pins — jump from a site plan into a building, floor or comms room

Annotations

Mark up the sheet, not a printout

Notes and markups live on the drawing for everyone who opens it. No more photographing a marked-up print and hoping the person who needs it can read your handwriting.

  • Annotate directly on the sheet, visible to the whole project team
  • Notes stay attached to the drawing revision they were made against
  • Filter the sheet by trade, floor, phase or status
  • As-built and issued drawing stay in step because they are one object
