The problem

Verifying an install is a two-person job that should be a one-person job

Someone is on a ladder in a ceiling void. Someone else is at a laptop in the comms room reading a controller. They are on the phone to each other, and one of them is reading out a MAC address. This is how most of the industry still verifies an install.

Connect

Authorise Graftix against your network management platform with a read key. No agents, no appliance, nothing installed on your network.

Step 02

Match

Devices are matched to the tasks already pinned on your drawings, so the estate and the install schedule become one dataset.

Step 03

Watch

Status appears on the plan and updates itself. Online, unreachable, never seen. Colour-coded, at the coordinate it lives at.

Step 04

Push back

Commission a device in Graftix and push the hostname back to the controller, so naming matches the drawing from day one.

Proven on a live campus

Graftix Live was built during a real infrastructure refresh across eighty-plus buildings, not in a lab. The first integration is Extreme Networks XIQ, with read-only status pull and hostname push back through the platform API.

The probe

One small thing on the network, and nothing opened to the outside

A great deal of installed kit has no cloud platform behind it at all. For that, Live runs a probe inside the estate — a lightweight process that watches devices over the network and reports what it sees. It is the part your client's IT department will ask about, so it is worth being precise.

Outbound only

The probe talks out to Graftix over HTTPS on port 443. No inbound firewall rule, no port forward, no VPN back into the site. Nothing is opened for us to reach in.

One probe, one site

It watches devices across the network it sits on, so a single probe covers a building rather than needing something installed on every unit you fitted.

Paired with a one-time token

Download the build for the platform you are putting it on, or run it in Docker, and pair it with a token generated once in Graftix. Nothing else to configure.
