GX-14 · Operatives and qualifications

Your whole workforce, without paying for your whole workforce.

An operative is an employment record, not a login. Hold every person who sets foot on your sites — employees, self-employed, subcontractors — with their cards, their expiry dates and their evidence, and pay only for the people who actually log in.

Included in every subscription · Seven days free · No card required

The commercial bit

A free operative cannot become a billable seat

Every other system in this market makes you choose between holding your subcontractors' records and paying a licence for each of them. So people hold them in a spreadsheet instead, and the spreadsheet is out of date within a month. Graftix separates the two by construction, not by policy.

  • A free operative is an employment record with no organisation membership behind it
  • Seat billing counts memberships, so it cannot see an operative even in principle
  • Promoting someone to a licensed user is an explicit act, with a confirmation
  • A test reads the register's own source and fails the build if it could ever mint a seat

Qualifications

The card, the date, and the photograph of it

Nineteen qualification types come seeded — ECS and CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, SMSTS, First Aid, 18th Edition, asbestos awareness, confined spaces, working at height, abrasive wheels, CPCS, NPORS, Gas Safe, face fit, fire marshal and the rest — and you can define your own on top.

  • Upload the evidence, so the card itself is on the record and not in a drawer
  • Expiry colouring that means one thing everywhere — red expired, amber within thirty days
  • A dashboard tile for what is expiring, because a lapsed card is found at the gate otherwise
  • Certificates read this register too — a signatory must hold the right card, in date on the day

The competency pack

The document a principal contractor actually asks for

"Prove this person is competent to be on my site." One operative, one A4 PDF, generated from what you already hold rather than assembled the night before.

  • An identity card with the photograph and the employment type
  • Contact details and next of kin, which is the page that matters on a bad day
  • A card per qualification, with the evidence thumbnail and the expiry colour on it
  • The RAMS sign-off record — what they read, which version, and when

Enrolment

Four states, and only the moves that make sense

Somebody's status on your register is not a free-text field, and it is not a dropdown that lets an administrator invent history. The transitions are enforced, and every change is audited.

01

Pending

On the register, not yet working. Where someone lands when an induction puts them there.

02

Invited

A promotion invite is outstanding. Only the promote route can set this, so it cannot be faked.

03

Active

Working. Reachable from pending or invited, and the state most of your register sits in.

04

Suspended

Off the tools, reversibly. Reachable from any state, and back to active when it is resolved.

In this module

Included in every subscription, however many people you hold on it.

14

The register

Search and filter by status, employment type or expiry, with a column picker per user.

Employment types

Employee, self-employed or subcontractor, recorded as what the person actually is.

Qualifications

Nineteen seeded types plus your own, each with an expiry and a place for the evidence.

Evidence uploads

A photograph of the card against the qualification it proves.

Quals expiring

A dashboard tile for what lapses next, so it is dealt with before the gate.

Competency PDF

One operative, one A4 pack, generated from the record you already keep.

Enrolment states

Pending, invited, active, suspended — only the legal moves, every change audited.

Promotion to user

An explicit, confirmed act that turns a record into a licensed seat.

Get started

Put the whole gang on it.

Including the three subcontractors you would never licence, and the labourer who starts on Monday. None of them cost you a seat.
